Over summer going in to Yr 11

Over summer going in to year 11 I didn't do much but I hated i've started to re do my power point so instead of doing rock, now i'm doing pop which I am more familiar with as I listen to pop more then rock music.
I'm not that far in to my power point at the moment but I am doing 30mins on it every night at home so I will quickly catch up to where I was on my rock powerpoint. The good thing is, is that I know where my mistakes were in my last powerpoint so this powerpoint on pop will be much better then my old rock music powerpoint.

Term Review 2 (Easter)

this term i have made progress but still need to improve my drumming  but i need to improve on my speed because sometimes i'm fast but sometimes i'm really slow so i need to find a good not to fast but also not to slow but a constant pace.
Also last lesson i got recorded by sir and i think it went well but like i said if i had a good constant pace it would have gone better because my beat and fills i made up myself and in thought they went well but if i had a good pace and not jump start it would of gone so much better.

Instrumental Diary 

Recently with my drum lessons I have not been able to go to them as I have had my exams but when I haven't had my exams it has been going well, but I just need to be practicing outside of drum lessons for example in my music lessons. I need to be practicing my songs I have been working on but I also need to be practicing my drum fills.My exams have now finished so I can start to practice again.
so far I've been working on a song that I have made up and I'm feeling confident on it but I need to find another song to play still.

Rehearsal Schedule

Monday- I have a practical lesson for 1 hour so i can improve and practice the drums.

Tuesday- Either when i'm at school or after school i need to practice  the drums.

Wednesday- If i don't have a music lesson on this day i need to go and practice at break lunch or after school.

Thursday- I have music on thursdays but it is on the computers so i can have a break from the drums on thursdays.

Friday- I don't have a music lesson so i can practice the drums at break lunch or after school

Saturday- Its  the weekend so i wont be playing the drums but i can watch videos on youtube about drums or something.

Sunday- I can watch youtube videos on youtube again.

Music Calendar 

W30- Practice playing drums

W31- Practice and work on fill

W32- Find a song to start to play to [easy pop songs to play to]

W33- Start practicing the song I've found

W34-Countinue practicing the song

Half Term

W35-Continue playing playing the song but add my own fill in

W36-If i still need to work on the song, continue practicing the song but if not play the song and practice the drums

W37- Find another song to play

W38-Start practicing the 2nd song

W39- Continue playing the songs

W40- Play both songs

W41-Continue playing and practicing the drums

Week 28

Working Progress

Last lesson i had to watch people perform and give them feed back on their performance and perform myself in front of an audience. When i performed in front of everyone it felt a bit more natural then the last time i performed in front of every one but i know that i still need a lot more practice because it didn't seem smooth when i played but that will just come if i continue to play the drums.

Today I was playing the drums for a bit but I think we have seen that i'm not very good at playing the drums for longer then about half an hour so we came up with a plan which is to do the first half on the lesson on the drums and then go and do my blog for the other half but we will see how that go's because one lesson I might be really focused and want to do really well on the drums and I might just do the full hour on the drums but other lessons I might struggle and then just go and do some work on the blog.
next practical lesson i'm going to try to do some work on my drumming skills for 45mins and then i'm going to go and do my blog for 15mins and i think that that will go well,well i'm hoping so anyway but if I just do a bit of drums and a bit of blogging i'm going to get good at both because I
 will be getting better at the drums and keeping up on the blog.

i have improoved on my drums with will and now i have become realy good at playing the drum fill. and will has improved on his gutaria and as a band we are geting better at performing and geting to no each other and how we play so we then known each others weakess and each others strenghs.

me and will have practised in are band in are own time witch for me and probaly will improves are playing skills.Also i think that my drum lessons are realy helping towards my instrumental skils as i have improved witch is what my drum teacher said.i just need to keep playing drums witch is what i do any way with will.

Rehearsal Diary

me and will have worked hard and we are very good at the intro part.bit we need to work on the chores. This week we did not make much progress but we have still got better a the intro and  we did make progress on the choress.     week 6

 we worked on backing tracks for me to drum to. i have found some songs to play a drum beat to most of they songs are from skepta or JME they both play grime or rap based songs.

i have been working on a backing track to play to  and so far it is going well. and im practising it out side of  lessons as well as in lessons. but i need to still practice.0.

i am getting better on the drums and i know this because teachers have said this.

do i think i hsve achevied my targets...

No, not yet i havent but i do know that i am improving tho because i am geting faster and quicker at playing the drums espeshaly at the back track i am doing at the moment.

What do i need to brtter with on every lesoon...

. i need to crack on with my work
. i need to go to every music lesson for my drums
. and practice my work in lessons

I am progressing

i am getting better at the drums because i am getting better at the song i am doing at the moment because i as am practising it a lot.
but the teachers still are saying that i have improved and i have been recommended to stay behind after school and i have to go at break and lunch to practice my drums to get better but i cant really stay after school as i have to get the buss.

But I think that if i start to play a bit more i will improve a bit more.

i need to improve on my confidence because i want to  be able to perform in front of a audience and not be scared or anything so i think i need to just to practice a lot more because i definitely dont practice enough at the moment but it is hard beacuse i dont have a drm kit at home and i cant stay after school because i have to get the bus.

last lesson was not that good because i didn't do all my work so i have been removed from my lessons at the moment to catch up on my blog which i am doing now but because my mum is in america for a work trip at the moment so i am going to try and catch up on my blog at home so i can get my work done quicker and get back in to lessons.At the moment i am doing my lessons up in ace.

last lesson we were just performing but i think i didn't do as well as i could i think it might have been that i was performing in front of a audience for the first time because i never have really performed in front of people.But I think if i was to practice more often i would build my confidence up and be better at performing in front of an audience then.

last week i didn't do much because my drum kit was broken so i used the electronic drum kit in stead i played the drums 50 mins because i messed around with luke for about 10 mins but apart from that it was a good lesson.i was practicing a song called hoe down from drum lessons.i prepared for my rehearsal by  having a broken drum kit that didn't work so thank you music department.i wanted to play on the acoustic drum kit.i was succsesfull because i played the drums for mn,50mins.My targets for next lesson are to not mess around and to get on with my work and to get a good drum kit.
